I have a case that does this simulation with almost exactly the compositions
you give. I have sent the case to you in a separate mail, the attachemnet is
700 kByte big, so I didn't want to post it here. anybody else interested,
let me know.

Dear all,
I ran HYSYS Simulation but I had some problem .The equipment is the
distillation column. It has the decanter on the top which separate the
vent, organic product ,and aqueous product. The stream data of feed,
Column feed Column bottom Organic product Aqueous
product
Flow, mol/min 3820 2160 826 831
Temperature, C 42.5 137.2 40 40
Pressure, psia 84 30 18 18
Composition (mole fraction)
Vinyl Acetate 0.206 0.0000011 0.950 0.002
H2O 0.281 0.093 0.05 0.998
Acetic Acid 0.513 0.907 0.000037 0.000037
The Column and Decanter Equipment Data is
Theoretical stages 20
Feed stage 15 from bottom
Stage efficiency 50%
Tray holdup 2.3 kmol
Reboiler duty 4.0x10^6 kcal/h
Condenser duty 3.9x10^6 kcal/h
The degree of freedom is 3 so I chose the acetic acid composition in
the bottom product, water composition in aqueous product, and the
bottom flow as the specification. However, the simulation was iterated
infinitely. Could you give me any suggestion?
Mr Wim Wam
i am apprecuiated if you could send me the case study .
tnx

Dear Mr Wim Van Wassenhove

I would like to have the HYSYS case study files for the above mentioned simulation. I appreciate it if you could kindly send those to me at this email address: ***@gmail.com

Thank you very much.

be greatly appreciated.
Trying to resurrect a 15 year old thread, likely will not get any response from that person.
